Use Them Logics

So, I was blessed enough to be homeschooled by a mom that cared about my education. She made sure I had all my basics down and added in specialty classes to shape me into a functioning member of society.

I spent an entire semester studying logic.

Thank the Good Lord.

It is honestly the class I think I am most thankful for.

I can debate an issue clearly, without resorting to name-calling, emotions, character-attacks, and logical fallacies that make my position less plausible.

My big question is, why don’t all the other parents care?! I have gotten into many many discussions/arguments where my ‘opponent’ has completely denied the existence of logic.

If you’ll excuse the language I have been called a dumbass more times than I can count without any proof of what I’m being so dumb about!

Dear Parents,

Please teach your child to come up with valid points. Teach to avoid the petty and childish character-attacks in order to win arguments. Teach your kids how to research, cross-reference. Teach them to discuss controversial topics civilly. Teach them to be respectful even when someone disagrees.

Logical people do not riot in the streets and they don’t think name calling wins an argument.

-A Concerned Young Woman

I have had many conversations with people my age where their references are social media, fake news sources, or the first statistic they find in Google search. They don’t know how to effectively stand up for their beliefs. They contradict themselves without even realizing it.

Because, I honestly don’t care if you agree with me or not. But if you disagree by posting a comment full of expletives, claiming I know nothing because I’m hateful, judgmental, racist, without any proof or any reason for you to think that, I can’t take you seriously.

I will make sure my children study logic and debate. I want them to be prepared for the real world. I hope you do the same.

And if you never had a chance to study logic and debate in school, it’s never too late to learn! They are easy concepts that simply take practice. You can google logical fallacies and learn them in a day. You don’t want to be THAT person when trying to prove your point.

Do You Lock Your Doors At Night?

Say you live in a pretty quiet neighborhood with your spouse and three kids.

It’s a really safe neighborhood. Someone’s house was robbed three years ago but besides that not much happens.

At night you lock the doors.

Why?

You want to keep the people in your house safe. Do you lock the door to keep good people out? No, you lock the door because of that small chance that someone will try to get in.

Now apply that on a larger scale.

Trump’s order is not to keep all the peaceful people out. It’s to make sure we don’t invite the murderers into our homes.

You should start by reading the full text of the executive order like any well-informed American. I found it here.

Now, as you can clearly see by the text, this order was neither racist or prejudiced against any particular religion. Yes, it mostly affects Muslims, because those 7 countries are mostly Muslim.

It is important to remember however that Islam is an unforgiving, violent religion. Chapter 9 of the Koran is undoubtedly the most violent and it was the final chapter to be revealed to Muslims.

This former Muslim explains this very well and I encourage you to watch it, it’s very short.

In his closing statement he says something along the lines of “If I were still a faithful Muslim and believed in the Koran, I would be tempted to go fight with ISIS because it seems like they are doing what Islam demands.”

There are peaceful Muslims. There are refugees that desperately need help.

That does not mean we should leave our door wide open.

Think about it. Right now America is weak. We are divided, we are transitioning to a new president and many people are vocally angry about it. This is the perfect time to send ISIS agents disguised as refugees or tourists. These people aren’t stupid. It took only a few terrorists to kill thousands of Americans in 9/11. Imagine if they managed to get even just 50 ISIS members into our country during the flood of refugees. It’s a chilling and terrifying thought.

The media would have you believe that Trump just up and decided to do this on a whim. But this man ran for President for over a year. He obviously had to run this by many people. A big part of his campaign was always stricter, safer borders.

And again, this is NOT a ban. This is a temporary halt, planned to only last 120 days. It is simply to make sure our vetting process is up to snuff since we have so many refugees trying to get in.

It is Trumps duty to keep terrorists out. Look at Europe. Their refugee policies are pretty relaxed compared to what Trump wants to do.

I think we all remember Bastille Day. A Muslim man killed 86 people and injured 202 while shouting praises to Allah.

There are many instances in Europe when someone was stabbed or shot at random, for reading a Bible in public, or being publicly Christian by Muslims “seeking refuge” or with ties to ISIS.

Last summer a Syrian ‘asylum seeker’ detonated a nail-packed suicide bomb at a wine bar outside a music festival.

Last March were the two giant attacks in Brussels that left hundreds dead and injured. Both Muslim.

There was last Christmas in Berlin when a man drove a large truck through a Christmas festival, killing a dozen people and sending around 50 to the hospital in a terrorist attack. The US Department of Defense has continually warned Europe that these terrorist attacks are part of a large plan.

Now, obviously there are lots and lots of Muslims that have no plans to kill anyone. Those are not the people Trump is trying to keep out.

Trump is trying to save a New York subway station from the next ISIS related suicide bombing.

He’s trying to keep out a plane hijacker.

He’s trying to keep more cops from getting shot.

He’s keeping semi trucks manned by ISIS from driving through your Trump protests.

So before you continue with your protests, ask yourself if you want our news to look like Germany’s, France’s, Belgium’s. I don’t.

ISIS hates Americans. They hate Christians. They hate gays. They oppress women. They detest tolerance. Do you want ISIS in our country?

Donald Trump does not and he is doing what he knows how to do to keep them out.

I am grateful.

I do not say these things out of hate. I try to love all people like Jesus has called us to do. I hope every Muslim comes to faith through Jesus. These are all facts, you can double-check them, that need to be considered when deciding your response to Trumps decisions.

My next post will be about the Christian response to Trump and the refugees. I hope you’ll  take a look at it.

I Don’t Need Feminism Because…

I don’t need feminism because I do not see myself as a slut, nor do I see that as something to be proud of.

I’m in a loving relationship with a man who loves to take care of me and we’re on the same page about our relationship.

Rape culture does not exist.

I don’t see myself as better than men.

The wage gap does not exist. See here

I am a Christian, I know that traditional roles for men and women are Biblical.

I am secure in being a woman.

I don’t need abortion.

Hair dye has not leaked into my brain, causing delusions.

I know what hygiene is.

I wear a bra (bouncing boobs is painful. It’s not about the patriarchy)

The patriarchy does not exist.

I am not voting for Hillary just because she is a woman and appeals to womens “ideals”.

I have the logics.

As you can see, I don’t need feminism. Many women don’t need feminism. Actually, no one needs modern feminism. It is a cancer in our society. And poor men are suffering from it. They are being attacked for existing. Women are not.

The grit of it is women are getting a kick out of being victims. They are looking for things to get offended by. Stop being a bunch of pansies. You are making me ashamed of my gender.

Seriously, when did feminism become yelling in a street, your armpit hair pink, in lingerie garters with X’s taped over your nipples?

It used to be about respect. About a single woman being able to support her family. About women having a say in who’s president.

Now women want “free bleeding” “free the nipples” and free abortion.

I don’t need these things. Neither do you. Grow up.

African American

Ok people. It’s time to stop.

You know what’s keeping all this supposed racism alive? People trying so hard to not be racist.

It’s true.

One of the biggest things to me is people trying to figure out what to call black Americans. Because for some reason you aren’t allowed to call them black Americans…?

Many have used the term African American.

This is incorrect.

Unless someone moved FROM Africa to America, they are not African American. They are just American. And if you are trying to refer to their skin pigmentation, say black American.

Just like I am a white American.

Somebody’s skin is only somebody’s skin. It’s genetic pigmentation based on their ancestor’s proximity to the equator.

Why are people making a big deal out of it?

I don’t get offended when someone calls me white. It’s what I am. It’s the color of my skin.

I’m sure that not nearly as many black people are offended by being called what they are as the media would have you believe.

Too many people are going with the Obama hype that racism is an epidemic. It’s not. I don’t know one racist person. The only ones I hear about are through the caffeinated media.

All that to say, lose the term African American unless your neighbor down the street literally moved to your suburb from Ethiopia.

Or start doing that to everyone. Maybe I’ll introduce myself as a Polish American. (I have never been to Poland but at one point in history my ancestors lived there.)

The best way to kill racism is to stop talking about it like it’s a big secret.

There are some truly racist people. Those people are bigoted jerks.

There are white people racist toward black people.

There are black people racist toward white people.

There are Asians racist toward natives.

Anyone is capable of being racist, it is not an exclusively white American thing to be. It’s just a disgusting thing.

Help end racism. Stop treating it like it’s the biggest issue America is facing.

Confessions of a Ninja Ballerina: Organization

Planning is good.

I have, today, decided to actually do some planning for my dance classes. My mom had the fantastic idea to put my combinations on notecards in a little notecard box, separated into the different types of steps by the little dividers.

What’s awesome about this is that I can write down all the combinations, every week, and eventually and I can just pull out notecards to plan my class.

If you teach anything like dance or martial arts or anything, this is a great idea. If it’s dance, you can even write the song you used on the notecard, which is what I’m going to do.

Looking forward to today’s well-planned class. 🙂

Any dancers following me? Comment if you’d like me to make a post with some of my favorite combinations.

A Collection of Problems

I get frustrated pretty easily. Not angry, but frustrated.Things that frustrate me:

People who can’t take a joke.

Pro-choice advocates.

“Gay Christians” (You are not actively following Christ if you choose to be gay.)

People who get offended at everything. (Guess who the Biblical example of getting offended easily was? Not Jesus! The Pharisees. Just saying.)

Raisin cookies that look like chocolate chip. Seriously. That’s just not cool.

Not being able to do petite allegro. Ugh.

Pro-choice advocates (yes, again)

FEMININAZIS ( x 3,000,000,000,000. Aghhhhhh. Ok, I’ll be honest, feminists legitimately make me angry sometimes, just because they are so ridiculous.)

Racism from anyone. Not just white to black. Blacks are racist towards whites too. All ethnicities are capable of being racist towards a different ethnicity. It’s really, really, really dumb.

There are more random things that frustrate and/or annoy me, but there’s some. And most of them are not just because of personal preference or whatever, they’re because the Bible clearly says they are not good things.

Please read your Bible.

Getting Started

We’re at the point where Jesus starts preaching! **Excitement**

Today we read Matthew 4:12-17 and Mark 1:14-15. Jesus heads out to Galilee (Fulfilling the prophecy in Isaiah 9:1-2) and what’s the first thing He does?

He says, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.”

I don’t really think that this is insignificant. The very first thing Jesus preaches about, proclaims, is repentance.

Hm. Maybe it’s important…..?

So, the definition of repentance: Real penitence; sorrow or deep contrition for sin, as an offense and to dishonor to God, a violation of His holy law.

Just think about it for a minute, really. The VERY first thing Jesus talks about is repentance.

One other thing is that Jesus proclaimed, not just preached. He said things boldly, without worrying whether or not people agreed with Him. He knew the important thing was speaking about what God wanted Him to speak about.

So, did I put enough emphasis on repentance?
