Cover Boy

This post won’t be very long since I’m doing this on my phone. However I have one question.

Where did it all fall apart?

The newest Cover”girl” is, in fact, a boy. He has a mans jaw, masculine build, and oh yeah, a penis. All of these thing make him male. Biologically he is male.

But because one day he got a delusion that he should be a girl, everyone decided he should be a girl. So now he’s a girl.

Except that he’s not. All he did was put makeup on.

The problem nowadays is the fact that people think sex (as in anatomically) and gender are different, when they are actually biologically synonymous.

It’s fine that people say you can pick your sexual orientation. It’s true that you can choose what you’re attracted to. That doesn’t make it right or normal, but it is true. You can be attracted to potatoes for all I care.

What you cannot choose is WHAT YOU ARE. You can’t wake up one morning and decide you’re male even though you have a vagina in the same way I cannot wake up and decide I am a baby penguin.

It is impossible, illogical, and sinful.

Christians, you are not called to condone this! Saying this is ok is saying God makes mistakes when He creates us. How dare you accuse our God of that.

I was born a female. That is what God intended me to be and no mental illness can change that.

Just because a man takes estrogen and puts makeup on, that doesn’t make him a woman. Neither does a sex change because he cannot carry, give birth, or feed a baby.

Just because a woman takes testosterone and dresses differently does not make her a man.

Why is this a difficult concept?

We are a disgustingly fallen world.

So you’re a Christian right? Then tell me, how is someone else’ sin greater than your sin? This post is just sinners judging sinners for sinning differently.

Okay so here’s the real problem. If you want to change something about our society and how the world works, blogging and complaining about it isn’t going to help. If you really want to make a positive impact on today’s culture specifically on the LGBT community, maybe pray for them. Don’t judge them or condemn them. “They will know we are christians by our love” love them and god will take care of the rest. im not saying you have to support them in anyway, but complaining about it and ranting on the internet isn’t going to change anything. And listen most of these people have a real mental disorder in the way they perceive their sexuality, most of them don’t want to be that way but today’s culture tells them it’s okay and of course they want to feel good about themselves. Try to understand them before you try to change them. That’s all I’m asking.

I understand where you’re coming from but you are making Christian’s everywhere look bad by the anger and distain in you’re words. If you’re going to try and build up the kingdom of God you need to try an approach with more respect. No one is going to heed the words of someone angry, disrespectful or judging them, they’ll automatically shut you off.

    • Which part is angry? All I did was state facts. Everything I said was true. I simply said it was a sin. Which part is so angry and offensive that fellow Christians find it so distasteful? Is it because it is offensive to some? Good. It’s not my job to make them feel good about their sin. Jesus did no such thing. He spoke even more straightforwardly than I try to.

Hi, I came across this article/blog while searching for people’s ideas about the “CoverBoy” deal. As a pastor, I thought I’d share my input after reading this article and these comments.

Beachwalker, there are no sections in your article that are angry. However, you do set a tone in your work that comes off rather aggressive and condemning. (So far I’ve read this article and your “You Don’t Need the Burka”) As something I have learned through my years of giving sermons and talks for youth, if you want people to take something from what you are saying, then you need to be understanding and willing to find out the “why” behind most sins. Especially with the LGBT community. Michelle’s comment is true and well spoken, especially her last line “Try to understand them before you try to change them.”

To write a true persuasive article, it is important that you show that you understand the opposing view. Otherwise people will not take you seriously, and they will shut out any information you are trying to give. People don’t want to hear that they are wrong. (You have shown in your comments back to people that you do not like to be wrong, so you must know that.) People prefer to hear “I understand that you think this way because_________, but with that, I think ________.” That way they know you’re not just saying “I’m right, you’re wrong.” Does that make sense?

In addition to that, Sasha G. is correct by saying we, as humans, are not called to judge. Who are we to judge? We have no God-given right to be judging our brothers and sister, no matter how strayed from the heard they are. I am sure you have heard of the term “actions speak louder than words.” It is a very true saying. God has called each of His children to be an example of His love and mercy. We, who call Him our Father, are called by Him to show our brothers and sister the way to heaven. We are not called to tell our fellow brothers and sisters “how” and “why” they are sinners and that they are going against God.

Our Heavenly Father wants people to come to Him out of their own free will, and love Him with their own love. God made us all and He knows that the only way lost people will come back to Him is if they see the sons and daughters of Christ living with His light in them. The lost ones will see how peaceful and joyful those in His church are and they will realize that they were happier in Christ’s light, and those who were never in God’s church will see us who live with Him in our hearts and they will want to have Him in their hearts as well.

As Christ Jesus’s children, we are called to bring as many people to His light and love as we possibly can through our own examples. We are not called to tell people that they are “sinners because…” when we, ourselves are just as equal of sinners. We are called to condemn the sin IF it presents itself as a temptation in our own walk of life.

But the only way to bring lost ones to the Father is through our very own choices and examples in life.

You have the opportunity to use this blog to spread God’s true word and love and mercy. And with that comes the opportunity to bring many to Christ.

Remember how strong the Christian title is, and represent it through love and mercy. Not condemnation and judgement.

My family and I will be praying for you and the people who read your blog. Have a blessed Sunday through our Heavenly Father.

      • You are definitely right in a lot of what you say. I am still young and learning and I am the first to admit that. However I think you are very off from saying that we are not called to ever judge sin. That’s how people got this way. If no one thinks they do anything wrong they will never see a reason for God’s forgiveness. I know it is not my job to condemn people. I have not told anyone they are going to hell if they do something. But there is no wrong in explaining what sin is. So many people have no clue that homosexuality is a sin. That abortion is a sin. That this new wave of feminism is sin. So many people are uninformed and fellow Christians do so much against Christianity by accepting these sins and saying we are only called to love. We are loving everyone to the very gates of hell because they see no wrong. I try to be less angry, though my aggression gets through to some people that I would not reach otherwise. But I refuse to love anyone only so much to see that they are happy and comfortable in this life and blind them from their need for a savior. Jesus did no such thing. I am striving to be like Him. I fail but I am praying for him to speak through me.

Okay let me correct myself not anger but negativity.
But listen it’s not about being straightforward or not it’s about what’s actually going to work in leading others to Christ. I don’t care if some other blogger also is being judgmental and negative in his post. That does not make it right or effective.
Same sex attraction is not a sin BECOMES a sin when you act upon that attraction. The people who are being immoral in their sexuality that way are going to have to answer to GOD for that. Not fellow christians. Our job is to lead by our example and show that you can live a happy life while following Christ.
Being negative toward the LGBT community is only going to push them farther. So in this case your post is making us christians look bad.
Fight the good fight but do it with understanding and not judgement please.

      • Of course same sex attraction isn’t a sin. It’s a temptation. It’s a sin when people act on it. That is what I have said. That’s not a bad thing to point out. So many people don’t know it’s a sin. So many people, Christians and not, are uninformed and ignorant that it is an unhealthy lifestyle. Someone needs to point it out and I want to help be a part of the group that does.

    • Honestly I just don’t see where all the disdain is. I stated facts very straightforwardly and as opinion less as I could as a Christian. Everything I said was true and to the point. Show me what was so disdainful that I am sinning in saying that something is wrong. Please point it out to me.

I agree with this article except for the fact that you said that we are called to condone??? That’s not our job as Christians, we don’t need to approve the sin, we need to pray for the person and for ourselves and for the people affected by other’a bad choices.

    The Bible even says:
Matthew 7:1-3 King James Version (KJV)

1 Judge not, lest you be judged.

2 For with what judgment you judge, you shall be judged: and with what measure you punish, it shall be measured to you again.

3 And why point out tho the dust that is in your brother’s eye, but consider not the beam that is in your own eye?

We are not called to judge, because we are all sinners. We are called to be good examples and show people the right way through our actions, not our words.

Same sex attraction is not a sin niether is a boy wearing makeup. As far as the “Coverboy” yeah it makes no sense for a company called “covergirl” to use a male model for their makeup but at the end of the day. So what!!? It’s makeup. Let them use their advertising strategies and let a boy enjoy makeup. If they’re sinning in their lives god will take care of it and he will judge them. That’s not our job as christians. Calling them out for being sinful or calling out other christians for allowing it isn’t right. No one is responsible for their sin but them and they can answer to god for that, not you.

    • Let me get this straight though. You’ll jump on me for simply saying something is a sin but not a homosexual Christian saying homosexuality isn’t a sin? Even though they are lying to everyone around them? What would you do if you walked into church and they were saying that nothing is a sin and we just need to love each other? What then?

THERES YOUR BIBLICAL EVIDENCE! YOU 100% IGNORED IT THE FIRST TIME I TOLD YOU! WHERES YOURS!? HUH? Because “Jesus judged and we’re called to be Christ-like” doesn’t freakin cut it. So bring your biblical evidence.

    • Did you not read that article I shared with you? It explained this verse in context. He’s talking about the difference in judging your fellow Christians and none believers and making sure you confront your own sin before you confront others. I have confronted my own sin and I am not guilty of this sin. I was talking to fellow Christians in this post, made clear by that last bit. Fellow Christians should understand the need to never encourage and condone sin. It’s all Biblical. You really should read that article and look up what Matt Walsh has to say about it he’s a brilliant author.

I read Pastor Jerry’s comment, and I agree with him when He says that we are called to judge the sin as it presents itself to us. You are right about that, we should judge the sin. But when it’s other people, they’re not looking to us for teach them. The people in the Bible were looking to be taught. But nowadays people, sadly, just don’t care, and that’s why they have to hear testemonies and learn through actually seeing people make right decisions.

You’re right that as Christians we are definitely not supposed to say that what they’re doing is okay. But we have to wait for them to actually want to learn “why” Christians don’t approve of it. And until then, we pray for them, love them, and reel them in through the example of our lives.

And you are right again, the Christians who DO say it’s “all okay” are obviously not living up to the Christian title they claim to have. They honestly are probably just as confused as those who aren’t Christian. We gotta pray for them.

      • Now I’m not trying to argue with you when I say this. The people in the Bible were not looking to be taught as much as people today. People like the Pharisees hated Jesus. Often people had revelations when Jesus spoke instead of craving his learning.
